The beautiful patterns of our baskets are the results of high-quality craftsmen’s handiwork, weaving in a steady rhythm. The natural form created by dense and well-proportioned weaving fascinate those in sight.
Using wild grape vines, skilled craftsmen carefully weave each pieces with the traditional Japanese weaving techniques, while maintaining the texture of the material. The more you use it, the more it will grow into something unique to you.

Classic Collection
"Yamabudou Kago Bag" is a beautiful bag with distinctive weaving patterns created by our craftsmen. You can choose the material, weaving pattern, and shape of the bag according to your preferences.
Lining of the bag is finished with persimmon tannin dye, which has antibacterial, deodorizing, and insect repelling effects.

Vitality of wild grapes are admirable however, as it wraps itself around other trees and cause serious damages, it is a plant that needs to be cut down in order to maintain the forest. Our focus is to up-cycle the unwanted by giving new value.
